Insurance Matters

Please contact DAN Asia Pacific for more information regarding diving insurance. It is useful as it deals mainly with scuba diving accidents and evacuation procedures.

For per trip Travel insurance purposes, please contact Mr Chris Goh (chrisgyl@singnet.com.sg or 9819 9972).

What time do the boats sail?

For Anambas & 7 Skies wreck, we have to leave Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) by 6pm and we will return at 9pm to TMFT. For Pulau Tioman and Pulau Aur, we leave 7pm from SAF Changi Yacht Club.

What is provided during the trip?

Towel, bed linen, 4 meals a day, dive guide (4-5 diver to 1 dive guide), hot beverages, snacks, daily cabin services, tanks, weight belt, fruits after diving.

Are there any extra fees to pay onboard?

In Singapore: Beer at S$4 , soft drink at S$2, massage services S$25 per hour.

In Phuket: Beer at THB 60, soft drink at THB 30, massage services THB 400 per hour. Also, marine park fees at THB 1600 for 4 days dive trip.

Do you have any tanks with a DIN valve?

Yes, we have both DIN and YOKE valves.

Do you provide Nitrox fills?

Yes, each refill is S$15 or THB 350 and it is from 28%-36%.

Is Insurance included?

For Singapore: No, please do arrange it yourself prior to departure. You can obtain from DAN

For Phuket: insurance is included but only up to THB 200,000.

We strongly advise divers to obtain insurance before any trips!

Are there any forms of communication on board?

The reception is only around Tioman, Aur, Redang and certain Similan Islands.

We have satellite phone onboard and the usage charge is US$3 per min. The number is +87 077 643 1296.

Is there power onboard for battery charging?

Yes, most of the cabins have 220V 3-pin sockets.

Where is the nearest Recompression Chamber?

In Singapore: Naval Diving Unit
In Phuket: Patong Beach

Are there any larger tanks on board and what are the charges?

Yes, we do have 15 litre tanks for rental. We charge SGD 15 per day in Singapore and THB 300 per day in Phuket.

Is there Emergency Oxygen onboard?

Yes. Also, we have a well-maintained first aid box and sufficient oxygen for evacuation to the nearest medical facility.

Do I need my passport to board your boats?

Departing from Singapore: Yes pls. We will be leaving the country and entering another country, such as Malaysia or Indonesia.

Departing from Phuket: Your passport is not necessary unless it is a special expedition leaving Thailand.

I only have an open water certification. Can I still join trips that are recommended for advanced divers?

Yes, you may, but you will have to take an advanced course or adventure deep dive on the trip itself.

Is a hotel or airport pick-up provided?

In Singapore: We are sorry but it is not provided. It is convenient to take a taxi and meet at the designated departure location.

In Phuket: We will do hotel and airport pick ups at 5pm and 6.30pm respectively. It is included in the package. We would also do transfer to your hotels after the dive trip itself.

What happens if i arrive in Phuket Airport on the morning of the sailing day? or arrive only after 7.30pm (phuket time)?

You could make your own way to our office, leave your baggage there, and return at 5pm (phuket time) for transfer to the pier. If your flight arrival is only after 7.30pm, you will have to arrange for a private transfer to the pier at your own expense. You can request us to arrange the transfer for you too and make direct payment to the driver.
